CEFCU recently partnered with Illinois State University Athletics to present two financial literacy sessions for student athletes, helping participants build knowledge and skills that can support their financial well-being both during and after their college years.

The sessions were held on campus September 21 and October 12 and featured presentations by CEFCU representatives. Topics included budgeting, fraud and scam awareness, and other financial concepts designed to help student athletes make informed financial decisions.

Financial literacy plays an important role in preparing young adults to navigate everyday financial responsibilities. Through interactive discussions and real-world examples, the sessions encouraged participants to develop healthy financial habits, understand common fraud risks, and build a foundation for long-term financial success.

As a credit union, CEFCU is committed to supporting financial education in the communities it serves. Opportunities like these allow team members to share practical knowledge and resources that can help individuals build confidence by managing their money today and well into the future.

CEFCU is proud to partner with Illinois State University Athletics and looks forward to continuing efforts that promote financial wellness and empower future leaders through financial education.
