Members of CEFCU's Brand Strategy Division recently volunteered with the Meals from the Heart program at Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Illinois in Peoria, Illinois, by preparing a taco bar themed meal for families staying at the House.
Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Illinois provides a "home away from home" for families with children receiving treatment at area medical facilities. Located in Peoria's medical district, the House offers overnight accommodations, community gathering spaces, and supportive resources that help families stay close to their children during medical care.
Through Meals from the Heart, volunteers prepare home-cooked meals for families who often return to the House after long days at the hospital. The program helps create a welcoming environment and offers families an opportunity to enjoy a meal together during a challenging time.
