CEFCU participated in the State Legislative Summit in Springfield, IL, on April 14 to engage with state lawmakers on issues impacting credit union members and local communities. Coordinated by the Illinois Credit Union League, the Summit provides an opportunity to advocate for member protection, access to affordable financial services, and policies that support the credit union difference.
CEFCU’s annual Easterseals campaign wrapped up with great success. This year, the VIP team raised just over $14,000 through employee support and fundraising efforts. Combined with CEFCU’s corporate giving, a total check of $54,563 was presented to Easterseals Central Illinois during its annual telethon on WMBD-TV. This contribution helps support Easterseals’ vital work in the communities it serves.
CEFCU employees partnered with Rebuilding Together by volunteering at South Side Mission in Peoria, IL. More than 40 CEFCU volunteers assisted with painting, cleaning, kitchen organization, and ceiling tile replacement during National Rebuilding Day on April 25, 2026.
South Side Mission has served the community for more than 100 years through youth programs, culinary arts training, outreach ministries, and thrift stores. The project brought together CEFCU team members along with their family and friends to make a meaningful difference while supporting the Mission’s ongoing work in the community.
